LC 177 UV-Acrylic Adhesives

LC177 is a mono-component UV-curable acrylic adhesive from the Bostik Born2Bond™ LC range. It combines transparency with exceptional elasticity, thermal resistance, and impact strength. Designed for structural bonding of dissimilar substrates—including transparent plastics and metals—this UV bonding glue performs reliably under harsh environmental conditions, without requiring post-curing.

Key Features

  • UV curing
  • Temperature resistance
  • Impact resistance
  • Excellent environmental resistance
  • Elastic behaviour
  • Low water absorption
  • Gap filling up to 2mm

Applications

Typical applications for this product are fast bonding of metal, plastic and glass parts.

Substrates Recommendation

Recommended: ABS, PMMA, SAN, Glass, Aluminium, Stainless Steel
Limited Application: PA, PBT, PC

Directions for use

Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and grease-free. Most plastics require basic cleaning; surface treatment may improve adhesion on low-energy substrates. Apply at room temperature (12–35 °C), avoiding direct sunlight or artificial UV exposure.

Store in a cool, dry place away from heat. Refer to the Material Safety Data Sheet before use.

Curing time must be validated under actual use conditions, as it depends on factors such as substrate type, adhesive thickness, UV intensity, exposure distance, and temperature. To ensure consistency, slightly increase UV exposure during initial process setup.
